Allen Livermore plays clarinet and saxophone and sings with the traditional jazz band The Limb Shakers. He has given concerts throughout New York and New England. He has received grants from the Columbia County Council on the Arts Decentralization Fund, Arts Horizons, Inc and the City of Hartford’s Evelyn W. Preston Fund.

He has published poetry in ChronogramShingi, Heyday Magazine’s Post-Art Project and Emerge Literary Journal. He collaborated in live performance with “inventor” of the poetry slam Marc Smith and Michael Gizzi and Clark Coolidge in a reading of Jack Kerouac’s San Francisco Blues at the Spencertown Academy in 2000. He is a member of the Woodstock Poetry Society and the Academy of American Poets.

In October 2012, he appeared as Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, produced by Upstage Productions, Inc.

He lives with his family in Austerlitz, NY.
